Meet Shawn
Shawn Stern is an educator and small business owner.
He earned his degree at UCLA in Philosophy, focusing on Politics and Logic. Shawn studied to gain an analytical perspective of business, allowing him to hold leadership and management positions within Fortune 500 companies and eventually starting his own small business Green Footprint LLC. His consulting company focuses on helping individuals and businesses realize the long-term economical benefits of environmental conservation and sustainable production.
Shawn is also driven to help our youth by educating the growing minds of kids as a private tutor. From helping elementary and high school children to developing independent study programs for children with special needs.
Shawn is heavily involved in community service and local politics. As a founding member of the DEA & FBI Citizen’s Academy Los Angeles, he works with public outreach programs to share his knowledge and experiences to impact local issues. Working with educators, schools and police personnel he uses these skills and practices to address the challenges of drugs, gangs and violence impacting students and staff at our local schools. In addition, he has organized fire relief efforts and has been involved in the establishment of a sister-city program with Trento, Italy. As a local activist he has worked on campaigns in order to support local men and women running for public office.
Through his education and business experience he is trained to identify problems in order to determine the full range and scope of important issues and to analyze and improve the overall system.
Shawn and his wife Natalie live and work in Thousand Oaks, California.
