War & Foreign Policy
Though I feel strongly that we should always seek diplomatic solutions first, we must maintain our capacity to defeat any enemy. Therefore, we hold an obligation to our veterans and armed forces to change our foreign policy to one that serves America’s best interests. Today’s soldiers are our future veterans, and they should never be sent to war without clear objectives that serve definite American national security interests.
The US must aggressively pursue terrorists wherever they are. Additionally, the United States must restore its standing in the world in order to enlist allies in our fight against global terrorism. I want to work hard in Congress to help restore America’s image abroad, by making sure America is never again involved in an ill-considered war. As a member of Congress I will insist that torture has no place in American values and will fight to restore our leadership and credibility in the international community.
